A Leap Of Faith

How To Stick The Landing

Start with the best advice. A reliable guide shows the way.

Once you arrive at the site, reaffirm the way you’re headed.

Take a good look.

Start climbing, but be careful. Once you reach the top, take a moment to settle in.

Take a breath, then launch.

If you have any tricks, now is the time to break them out.

Make a splashy landing. It’s not the Olympics where splash matters. Aim for the deep pool.

Be sure to pop right up and give a good yell.

Afterward, check the pictures, notice they are all fuzzy and start over from the beginning.

For anyone thinking of cliff diving, ask around first. Don’t be fooled by what you see. The best thing to do is swim around the freezing water, not dive in and break your neck.

Almost looks real? That was cold, cold, water no matter what. Almost as cold as the Oregon ocean. Brrrrr.
